Varied Thrush
Varied Thrush
Ixoreus naevius
Up till last week, I've only seen a Varied thrush in Washingtion state for a second, in Nome for a nanosecond, and in Pescadero, CA for a few seconds.

At the entry to Pinnacles, I participated in the Audubon Christmas Bird Count. In one day we saw at least 100 varied thrush!

So I retried today. Up at 4 till the light was harsh. This is the best I could do. But I think I saw at least a hundred. For about a nanosecond. :-)
