Common Raven
Common Raven Corvus corax
Happy Feathery-Friday Yakity Yak

This is Edgar, of Edgar and Ellen, a Raven pair currently residing at Hawk Hill in the Marin Headlands. This is Edgar calling to Ellen (I'm lonely, come sit with me..., which Ellen soon did). They were given their names by the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory which tracks raptor migrations at Hawk Hill.

Hawk Hill is at the end of the Golden Gate bridge. Hawks will collect at the hill, debating how to cross the San Francisco bay. In migration season, especially fall, especially now!, it is a great time to watch all sorts of different hawks fly by. Kind'a like the fish donut tank at the big city aquarium park, only real life.... ;-)

Playing around, like Bill Walker, with the 500x1.4x2.0x1.6 = whopping 2240mm lens (and a arm wrestling grip with the head and lens) at ISO 1600 - got to keep pushing those limits!
