The wildflowers in the arctic spring tundra are phenomenal. These purple flowers were everywhere - the Kamchatka Rhododendron were my personal favorite, all though the Lousewort and Shooting Star were also phenomenal flowers.
Alaska has more native orchids than any other state in the union.
