I often ask people, so... "what brought you into birding and bird photography?" It is amazing how often this species and its habits come up. "I saw it take a mouse and pierce it on a tree." "I saw it take a lizard and .... "
An extremely nervous bird for me, I've never been able to get good shots. Yesterday the stars were aligned, and this shrike gave me shot after shot after shot on the fence by the road side. Woo-Hoo!!!
