Carolina Anole
Carolina Anole Anolis carolinensis
Back home at last, from our super-duper wonderful trip to the Texas Rio Grande Valley with Bill Walker and his wife Mary.

I've seen these lizards before, in Florida. This time, it was sitting peacefully on a log, looking all yellow in the golden sunlight,. Then it saw us, scurried off and in the next moment it was lime green in the lime green leaves. The change was in less than a second. Wow moment.

These look like chameleons, act like chameleons, have eyes like chameleons. but they're not chameleons.
