I've been reading about how Canada geese eat. They nibble just the tips of the grass which provide the most nutrients for the least effort. 100 blades of grass a minute.
They are basically a constant, industrial quality, grass-eating, poop-converting machine (since they don't have extra stomachs like a cow does).
The disadvantage apparently is that to get enough energy, they have to eat all day long (kinda dangerous!). They will even graze in a full moon!
