Anna's Hummingbird Calypte anna
Been reviewing the latest evolutionary DNA cladogram study for birds. With the advance of time, the study is considerably less crude than the original Sibley-Ahlquist study. One of the fascinating lumpings are hummingbirds evolving with/from swifts and ready for this?....Nightars..... Looking at this hummer's wing - it seems obviously related to swifts. And watching swifts and nighthawks on the wing.... kinda makes sense. The hummer catches bugs like a nighthawk - using its' mouth as a funnel...

A good review of recent studies is here
