Long-tailed Duck

I have been trying to get a decent picture of a long-tailed duck since...well for a long time now. They're usually very skittish, and usually only at sea. We were taking a last minute drive on the way to the airport, went to the dump (always a good spot for birding) and then stumbled upon a tiny pond where lo and behold...Not only were they not skittish, they swam to me! As one of our combat birders with us said - "sometimes God smiles".
